Assassin’s Creed Expands to Mobile Gaming

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, published by Level Infinite, marks a milestone as the franchise’s first open-world mobile game. Situated in third-century BCE China, the game’s narrative weaves through the Warring States period and the subsequent unification of China under the Qin dynasty. The game timeline sets Codename Jade between Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins.

“This is a very exciting part of China’s history,” said Andrei Chan, executive producer at Level Infinite. “This is the establishment of essentially the first empire of China. It was also a time when the connection between China and the rest of the world was stronger than ever.”

Closed Beta Registration Begins

While still in development, the game creators are actively seeking feedback from fans to fine-tune the gameplay experience. They have opened registration for the Closed Beta, set to take place later this summer.

“Our goal is to provide an authentic Assassin’s Creed experience on mobile, and we are very proud of what we have already,” says Chan. “Fans can expect all the iconic features – assassinations, air assassinations, stealth, parkour, combat mechanics – and we’re keeping it narrative-driven.”

For the first time in the series, Codename Jade will allow players to customize their assassin’s appearance. The developers are also prioritizing touchscreen controls, aiming to deliver a gameplay experience that feels intuitive to all players.
