New Black Panther Game Announced by EA Studio Cliffhanger Games

Cliffhanger Games, a new triple-A development studio under EA, has announced the development of an original Black Panther game. Coinciding with the 57th anniversary of the comic character’s debut, the game is being developed in collaboration with Marvel Games, aiming to provide an immersive experience of taking on the role of Wakanda’s protector, the Black Panther.

Accomplished Team at the Helm

Cliffhanger Games, based in Seattle, is led by Kevin Stephens, formerly of Monolith Productions. The studio brings together a skilled and experienced team with backgrounds in critically acclaimed games such as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, as well as veteran developers from leading franchises like Halo Infinite, God of War, and Call of Duty.

Kevin Stephens stated, “We’re dedicated to delivering fans an authentic Black Panther experience, granting them unprecedented control over their narrative in a story-driven video game. Wakanda presents a rich Super Hero sandbox, and our goal is to create an epic world for players who love Black Panther and wish to delve deep into the world of Wakanda.”
