Microids and Smart Tale Games have unveiled that the new Inspector Gadget: Mad Time Party will be released across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on September 14. The game will also be available in physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Switch at launch, followed by the PlayStation 4 physical edition release on September 29.

The premise of the game revolves around the iconic Metro City, which has been taken over by the notorious Dr. Claw and his M.A.D. agents. Players will assume the role of Inspector Gadget and embark on a thrilling adventure into the past using a time machine. However, the time machine malfunctions, resulting in the teleportation of Inspector Gadget’s ancestors to the present time.

In order to save Metro City, players are required to explore the city, compete against their ancestors in various challenges, and collect the missing parts of the broken time machine. To do so, they must complete a series of mini-games to unlock the necessary bolts needed for the machine’s repair. Players can expect to face off against three of Gadget’s ancestors in their quest to secure these bolts.

As players navigate their way through the city, they will encounter familiar characters from the original series such as Chef Quimby, Penny, and the M.A.D. agents. They will also have the opportunity to use various gadgets to counter the forces of M.A.D.

Beyond the solo mode, the game also allows for multiplayer gameplay, where friends and family can join the fun. Moreover, Inspector Gadget: Mad Time Party offers 16 unique mini-games inspired by the Inspector Gadget universe, providing diverse experiences for the players.

To add to the nostalgic charm, the game features a superb soundtrack from Tanis Chalopin, the daughter of Inspector Gadget’s creator, Jean Chalopin. This incorporation of original elements from the series heightens the game’s appeal to both new and old fans of Inspector Gadget.
