Into the Depths of Dungeon Stalkers
Action Square, in collaboration with Studio HG, has unveiled the first trailer for their upcoming game Dungeon Stalkers. This PvEvP dungeon crawler is currently under development and is expected to be released for PC and mobile later this year.
Dungeon Stalkers offers players a dynamic and challenging environment in which they must navigate and survive while collecting unique resources and items. It introduces the concept of a dangerous dungeon spawned from a powerful curse. Players, known as Dungeon Stalkers, enter this perilous setting in pursuit of wealth, glory, and truth. The trailer features two of the Dungeon Stalkers, the courageous knight Hilda and the mysterious hunter Urud, providing insight into their reasons for daring to venture into the threatening dungeon.
The game takes advantage of Unreal Engine 5 to portray the unique characteristics of each playable character, offering a detailed third-person perspective. It presents unique gameplay dynamics, including the strategic utilization of dungeon elements to gain advantages in PvP confrontations. One example is the possibility of using light sources and shadows to set up ambushes against adversaries. Other intriguing features include curses that abruptly alter the environment and destructible armor that requires rapid assessment in deciding whether to fight or flee.
Dungeon Stalkers is developed by an elite team of professionals assembled by Action Square, comprising experienced producers and art directors from industry giants such as Blizzard, Riot Games, and Ubisoft.
The newly released trailer begins with a narrative that sets the stage for the game. A colossal dungeon has appeared between two nations, conjured by a mysterious witch. The witch’s curse awaits those who dare to enter, yet the dungeon also promises honor and wealth. Those brave enough to risk their lives in search of money, honor, and truth have come to be known as Dungeon Stalkers. The trailer concludes with emotional pleas from various characters, hinting at their personal quests and motivations for braving the dungeon’s depths.
Dungeon Stalkers is available to be Wishlisted on Steam, and is set to be released in December 2023.
